I became aware of an unusual problem earlier today as I tried to make a phone call. The problem was the fact that the phone line appears to be disconnected which is highlighted by a "TEL LINE DISCONNECTED!" display on the telephones caller ID, problems with the phone line are not uncommon, but what IS unusual is the fact that I still have Broadband (and have been watching Netflix this evening). I'm not 100% certain that the problem isn't due to the BT engineer adding an additional wall box using the extension cord that has been in use for five or six years (and has seen better days) however when I looked to see if the phone was still plugged into the box I noticed that it was conspicuously absent from the position the engineer left it. Due to the small problem that the box had been fitted to the wall with double sided adhesive tape it had fallen onto the floor!

I notified BT, but they won't be able to fix the problem before the Nineteenth of January, just think of all the annoying marketing phone calls I'll be missing out on!
